CALCULATE YOUR IDEAL BODY WEIGHT

IDEAL BODY WEIGHT

The goal that more and more people are looking to achieve is to find and maintain a good body weight but not just for aesthetic reasons but also to be healthy and live longer.
There are many ways to reach your ideal body weight but it is recommended to fill out the following tables to check if you do have excess weight in respect to your bone structure and age.

we recommend you evaluate your weight using 3 tests: 

  • BMI
    (Body Mass Index)
    This gives an indication if you are overweight but does not keep in mind your bone structure and does not differentiate if extra weight is due to fat or muscle tissue.

  • M-RW - Calculation of ideal weight
    (References values taken from "Metropolitan Life Insurance")
    This provides you with your desired weight based on the MLI table whch keeps in mind bone structure but not whether extra weight is caused by fat or muscle tissue.

  • Calculation of body fat %
    This allows you to check your actual percentage of body fat taking in to consideration various details and your physical activity.
    N.B.: Various body measurements are required.

The measurement of the wrist is need to estimate bone structure and must be carried out with the hand in the position shown in the picture.

We suggest you use a loose tape measure or a strip of paper that you can measure against a small ruler.
